The Duncan Cup is in honour of an extraordinary young man, Duncan Burns.
Although not a player himself, Duncan was very much a teammate on both his brother’s and his sister’s teams at Leaside Volleyball Club.
Over the years, Duncan’s love and dedication to his siblings’ teams brought much joy and happiness to his family and all of those around him. His infectious enthusiasm for volleyball and his heartfelt support of everyone on the team remind us all of the reason we play – for the love of the game.
This award is for exceptional contribution to the Club and/or the player’s team through a combination of leadership, dedication and spirit. The player must be someone who gives all they can to not only improve themselves as a player but also raise all of those around them.
